Out of the gate that gave us some great benefits. In order to get to that high-performance native feel, we implemented an HTML5 Canvas engine in the core drawing system. We wanted to come as close to a native experience as possible using HTML5. Second, it had to be mobile-friendly and feel fast. First, it had to work on all platforms that Sencha Touch supported, including Android 2+, iOS, and BlackBerry OS6. When we started to think mobile for Charts, we had a few key requirements. With Touch Charts we took the core drawing and charting system from Ext JS 4 and made it come alive. When we released the new drawing packing in Ext JS 4, we took browser drawing and packaging to a whole new level.
